About

Quality Education at an Affordable Price

A perspective student occasionally questions a school’s tuition price and how that’s determined. The answer has many variables. Tuitions are generally set according to class time, accreditation of its instructors, and materials (flowers and foliages) included. It is important for the student to thoroughly research the school. If possible visit the location. There are other important comparisons, besides the length of the program, which should be considered to assure that you are receiving a quality education.

At the Center for Floral Studies each student receives fresh flowers and greens to work with that are included in the tuition price. The flowers include a wide variety: spray mums, dianthus, gypsophila, roses, bells of Ireland, delphinium, sunflowers, and many, many others. During the Advanced Floral Design Course students have the opportunity to work with tropical flowers including: birds of paradise, orchids, as well as a wide assortment of tropical foliages available in the area.

Each student receives a Frugal Florist Do-it-Yourself Flowers on a Budget® book. The book is a $17.95 value, authored by John Klingel AIFD, Director of the Center. While the majority of the time in class is devoted to arranging flowers for all occasions, each morning begins with a lecture. A breakdown of the topics is available on the Basic and Advance Floral Design Pages.

Remember that no school can assure a student employment, but to gain a competitive edge, in the job marketplace, begin with the most updated and comprehensive education. The school you select is your “jumping off point.” For more information on how to pick the school that best suits you needs visit the Choosing a School page on our web site.
