Enrollment and Admissions

Enrollment procedures

To enroll in any South Florida Center for Floral Studies class, simply fill out the Enrollment form and return it to the South Florida Center.

Students are advised to register early to avoid possible disappointment caused by full or canceled classes. Although, space permitting, enrollments will be accepted up to the starting date. Student applicants must be 16 years of age or older.  Some classes have prerequisites; consult the Schedule of Classes.  If you have any questions concerning requirements or prerequisites, please consult the Director at the school. The South Florida Center for Floral Studies does not accept transfer credits from any other institution and makes no representation that credits from the South Florida Center will be accepted by any other institution.

The South Florida Center for Floral Studies does not discriminate based on age, gender, race, sexual preference or disability. Physically challenged applicants should consult the school director for guidance.

Grades, Certificates and Diplomas

Basic and Advanced Classes

Grades and certificates will be given for the Basic Classes. Grade evaluations will be given as follows: Excellent/Good/ Fair/Poor. Grades and diplomas will be given for Advanced Classes.

Evaluations are based on the elements and principles of design, design mechanics and salability of the product. Students who receive “Fair” or “Poor” evaluations will be given extra counseling to attempt to improve performance. Evaluation records will be kept on permanent file at the school. A South Florida Center for Floral Studies Certificate, or Diploma suitable for framing, will be awarded to each student who successfully completes classes with an “Excellent” or “Good” evaluation and an attendance record of 90% or higher and who has met all financial obligations to the South Florida Center for Floral Studies.
