JOHN KLINGEL AAF, AIFD, PFCI HAS BEEN SELECTED AS ONE OF THE SIX JUDGES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE INTERLFORAL WORLD CUP COMPETITION, SHANGHAI, CHINA, MARCH 26th-28th, 2010

Director of the South Florida Center for Floral Studies, John Klingel, has been chosen by FTD to participate in the 13th Interflora World Cup Competition in Shanghai, China.  John received a call from FTD Headquarters in Chicago, IL today inviting him to be one of the six judges. John is the only judge from the US.

The competition includes award winning designers from twenty nations around the world. Keith White, AIFD will represent the United States.

John has been in the floral industry for 36 years. This is his first time to participate as a judge in an international competition.  He is a winner of the SAF’s Sylvia Cup and Florida State Designer of the Year.  John has been a member of the FTD Education Team for 10 years.

John has written 2 books, The Frugal Florist: Do-it-Yourself Flowers on a Budget® and The Frugal Florist Design Table Guide® and continues to do freelance work in Palm Beach County on a part time bases.
